As we introduce the third Priestess of the 7-Faces of the Priestess Odyssey, we open our hearts to a more softer essence, moving from the Dark womb of the Great Mother Babalon, to the firey Goddess of creation and destruction, Pele, into the balance of beauty and abundance….

Lakshmi: The Goddess of Abundance, Beauty, and Prosperity

HER STORY:

Lakshmi, the radiant goddess of wealth and divine prosperity, holds a revered place in Hindu mythology and the hearts of millions who call upon her grace. Her story begins in the timeless tale of the Samudra Manthan, the great churning of the ocean of milk.

In this ancient myth, the gods (Devas) and demons (Asuras) joined forces to churn the cosmic ocean in search of Amrita, the nectar of immortality. However, the process wasn’t without its trials. As the waters churned, chaos surfaced—poison arose, threatening all creation, until Shiva himself intervened, consuming the toxin to protect the universe.

It was only after the storm of darkness and destruction that Lakshmi emerged. Seated on a lotus, adorned in gold and crimson, she arose as the embodiment of balance, beauty, and abundance. She carried with her the promise of restoration, fertility, and harmony. The lotus on which she sits symbolizes spiritual awakening amidst chaos, while the gold coins flowing from her hands remind us of the endless generosity of divine abundance.

In Hindu culture, Lakshmi is much more than a goddess of material wealth. She represents a holistic abundance—of wisdom, love, and joy. She governs the cycles of giving and receiving, teaching us that true prosperity is rooted in balance and alignment with divine principles.

Her name itself comes from the Sanskrit root lakshya, meaning “goal” or “aim,” reminding us that wealth is not merely an end but a means to fulfill our highest purposes.

She is the fire that burns, the earth that creates, and the spirit that transforms. To know Pele is to witness the raw power of life itself—unforgiving, magnificent, and eternal.

THE TEACHINGS OF LAKSHMI:

When the qualities of Lakshmi are imbalanced and fall into shadow, they distort the flow of abundance into patterns of fear and disconnection. The shadow of scarcity arises, convincing us that there is never enough—enough love, wealth, or opportunities—driving us into cycles of hoarding or overworking to compensate for this perceived lack.

Greed emerges as a grasping desire to accumulate for the sake of security, leading to an unhealthy fixation on material possessions and a disconnection from the soul's deeper needs.

The fear of losing control blocks surrender, creating rigidity and anxiety as we try to manipulate or force outcomes rather than trusting in life’s natural rhythms.

This can happen in both relationships and finances

These shadow qualities remind us that abundance, when pursued without alignment or gratitude, becomes hollow and insatiable, cutting us off from Lakshmi’s true gifts of love, grace, and sacred reciprocity

To invoke Lakshmi is to honor the sacred flow of life. She asks us to clear the clutter of greed, scarcity, and imbalance so that her blessings can flow freely.

She is a reminder that true prosperity a result of how we embody abundance in all areas of life—through gratitude, generosity, and the harmony of Sacred Union with Source, Self and The Beloved.

Lakshmi. The Emanation of Beauty

The Eternal Alchemist of Abundance & Love in Balanced Harmony.

Lakshmi’s light illuminates the beauty of sacred reciprocity. She teaches us that true wealth arises when we are in alignment with our purpose and values. But as with all archetypes, her energy holds both shadow and light, asking us to navigate her duality with awareness.

Shadow Qualities

When Lakshmi’s energy is imbalanced or misunderstood, it can manifest as:

  • Scarcity Mindset: The belief that there is never enough—enough money, time, or love. This fear fosters hoarding and a constant grasping for control, leaving little room for trust or flow.

  • Greed: A distortion of abundance that clings to accumulation at the expense of others, disconnecting us from the heart of Lakshmi’s wisdom: that wealth must circulate to remain sacred.

  • Fear of Losing Control: The unwillingness to surrender or trust in life’s natural rhythms, which blocks the flow of blessings and keeps us trapped in cycles of fear and limitation.

Light Qualities:

In her light, Lakshmi embodies unconditional love and the sacredness of abundance in all its forms:

  • Unconditional Love: Lakshmi’s energy flows from a heart that is open and generous, showing us that wealth and beauty are amplified when shared. Her love is not transactional; it radiates freely, like the sun’s warmth or the blooming of a lotus.

  • Abundance: True abundance is holistic—it nourishes the body, mind, and spirit. Lakshmi reminds us that material wealth is only one aspect of prosperity. The richness of relationships, the joy of creativity, and the fulfillment of purpose are all manifestations of her divine energy.

  • Loyalty and Grace: Lakshmi offers blessings to those who honor her through loyalty to their values and devotion to the sacred. Her grace uplifts, beautifies, and nurtures, creating a ripple effect of blessings in all areas of life.

Lakshmi’s Teachings for Us Today:

Lakshmi’s path is one of radiant abundance and divine flow, a call to align with the sacred balance of giving and receiving in all areas of life.

She invites us to reflect:

🪷 Where have we allowed a scarcity mindset or fear of lack to block the flow of abundance in our lives?

🪷 What would it feel like to fully trust in the universe’s provision—to see wealth, love, and opportunities as an infinite flow we are inherently worthy of receiving?

🪷 How can we transform our relationship with money, love, and power into a sacred exchange that uplifts our soul’s purpose and the world around us?

Emerge like the Lotus Flower out of the Darkness
